The Ellab probes are based on several technologies. Ellab manufactures thermistor probes and thermocouple probes, and both technologies are widely used. The advantage of thermistors is that it is a standard sensor. The advantages of the thermocouples consist in accuracy, response time and the ability of being autoclaved.

The probes are used all over the world either as an Ellab probe or as a private label. This is only possible due to the high quality of these probes.
