Custom Fittings No matter how accurate the equipment is the results will always be affected by how well the measuring device is fitted to or in the measuring place. This is the main reason for having a large range of fittings devices and tools.
Fittings:
Packing glands
Space bars
Distance pieces
Cutting tools and spanners
Slipring contacts
Packing glands
The packing gland is the device that makes sure that the measuring probe is able to be introduced into the product and to measure at the cold spot without compromising the packaging system. With an Ellab fitting the impact on the measurement is minimized. Another benefit is the ability always to be able to measure at the same spot, which minimizes the systematic errors of testing. A third benefit is a stable contact point between the packaging and the measuring device, which ensures that the system is more stable and less prone to damage.
Packing glands are available for inserting probes into any variety of packaging. The glands are threaded to accept probes and will maintain the seal when pressurized.

Space bars
The space bars make the usage of the probes more flexible as measuring one product requires one length of probe and another product requires another length of probe. To solve this problem there are two solutions. Either buying two probes with different lengths or to buy one probe and one space bar. The choice is up to you! Having many different products and performing many validation measurements for the same product really shows the economical benefit of having one length on all probes and many space bars.
Distance pieces
Measuring at the cold spot in e.g. a flexible bag is almost impossible without using a device to place the probe firmly in the cold spot.
Slipring Contacts Ellab Slipring Contacts enables you to measure temperature in rotating autoclaves. The slipring contacts are special designed to be mounted on the drive shaft of the rotating autoclave and the probes are introduced through the shaft via a packing gland.
