Centrifuge Qualification Overview
The purpose of a centrifuge is to separate different components of a solution or product based on their densities. Individual processes may require specific parameters to be met for successful separation of the components, including different rotational speeds and temperature profiles.
The qualification of a centrifuge typical includes the verification of rotational speed using a calibrated tachometer, and the verification of temperature control using calibrated temperature sensors. Ellab offers various sensors that may be used for this application:
- TrackSense™ Pro Single Rigid Temperature sensors, with an accuracy of ±0.05°C through the temperature range of -25°C to 150°C.
- E-Val Pro, with various thermocouple configurations available for validation use.
