Pfizer required a new validation solution after support and maintenance for its existing validation equipment were discontinued. The site relied heavily on validation systems to support qualification activities across multiple GMP processes and applications.

The client needed a modern validation platform capable of improving efficiency, simplifying reporting workflows, and supporting data integrity objectives – all while minimizing disruption to ongoing manufacturing and qualification activities.

Validation System Evaluation, Implementation, & Long-Term Support

Our team at Ellab Benelux was engaged to support evaluation and implementation of a modernized validation hardware and software platform for Pfizer’s manufacturing operations in Belgium.

The project began with a 2-week on-site demonstration supported by 3 Ellab specialists, allowing Pfizer to evaluate system usability, reporting functionality, and operational fit within the existing validation program.

Validation Applications & Qualification Support

Pfizer used the validation systems to support qualification activities across a wide range of GMP applications and equipment, including:

• Cold rooms
• Incubators
• Defrosting baths
• VHP applications

The implementation supported modernization of existing validation workflows while helping maintain compliance and operational continuity across critical manufacturing processes.

Reporting Efficiency & Data Integrity Improvements

A major focus of the project was improving reporting efficiency and strengthening validation data management capabilities.

Prior to implementation, validation reporting activities required several hours of manual Excel processing. Following deployment of ValSuite® Pro software, reporting time was reduced to less than 30 minutes.

The protected database functionality also supported Pfizer’s efforts to improve validation data integrity and maintain compliant documentation practices.
